After spending two days in Las Vegas we arrived in Salt Lake City a little before 4:00 AM Saturday, August 8th. Kathleen & Daven were married in the Jordan River Temple. Sadly I missed the wedding- due to exhaustion. We slept for a few hours then drove to American Fork to pick up Falyn's boyfriend Andrew who flew from Oklahoma (where he works) to be her wedding date. We arrived in time to see the bride and groom leaving the temple. We went to a luncheon at the church next door to the temple. It was so good to visit with family. I was asked to DJ for the reception- it was so much fun. And, yes Debra I will mail you a copy of ALL of the music ASAP! Kathleen wanted a traditional reception, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, and a dance. And, boy did she DANCE!!! She was glowing...

August 10, 2009 Grandma's Birthday-

Shannon & Charlie hosted a birthday party for my Mother at their home in Salt Lake City. My Mother's two sisters Aunt Pauline and Aunt Nancy were there. Along with my Dad, Falyn, Farah, and Falyn's boyfriend, Andrew. Shannon's family, Charlie, Ben, Will, Peter, and Adam. Julie's family, Butch, Brittney, Taylor, Russell, Stephen, and McKay. David's family, Rose Ann, Christina and Garrett. Debra & Shawn. John's family, Lisa, Mitchell, Kayla, and Amber. Charlie grilled steak and salmon for dinner, it was awesome. And, birthday cake for dessert! We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Grandma, then Charlie brought out Great Grandpa Copple's guitar and sang one of his songs "That's How Much I Love You" to my mother, it was delightful!

we ought to hear at least one little song every day, read a good poem, see a first-rate painting, and if possible speak a few sensible words.
