Called to Serve...

Sister Helton & Elder Helton

Valentine Sweethearts

"I hope they call me on a mission". My parents have been called to the East Bakersfield Institute of Religion Mission. They are serving as full-time missionaries. They work and fellowship the students. They contact the LDS students, and invite them to Institute classes and activities. They help with luncheons activities, and classes. I'm sure I left out many of their responsibilities. We are very proud of them- they are a great example of service to our family.

After five long months it was great to have Falyn finally HOME! We had a lovely Christmas with Grandma & Poppy. Christmas Eve Farah played beautiful classical music and of course Christmas carols. We enjoyed games, the reading of the Nativity, and a delicious turkey dinner with ALL the trimmings. Christmas day we opened our gifts, enjoyed brunch and went to see "Tron". We said good-bye to Grandma & Poppy and drove to Monrovia for the annual Terrill family party. It was great to see everyone especially Karen from Idaho, and Amy and family from Reno. Grandma Terrill is 95, and still going strong. We are currently spending the week and New Year's Eve in Palm Springs. Falyn is especially enjoying the sun, and pool, it's a nice break from all the snow in Provo, Utah. Merry Christmas and a Happy Happy New Year!

A Merry Little Thanksgiving

Grandma & Poppy visited Falyn @ BYU Thanksgiving
Farah & her buddy Pugslee

Farah and Scott

We enjoyed a couple days in beautiful Palm Springs this week. We knew Scott would be working Thanksgiving- luckily he did make Thanksgiving dinner (work clothes and all). We actually thought about going to dinner at Harris Ranch, but we found out you need reservations months in advance. So, Farah and I made a mad dash to the grocery store braving the lines, and voilà dinner is served!

we ought to hear at least one little song every day, read a good poem, see a first-rate painting, and if possible speak a few sensible words.
