December 3, 2010 Farah auditioned for "Savior Of The World" it's an easy date to remember; because it is also the night Farah had her first full blown pancreatitis attack. I knew that Farah was seriously ill when I saw her lying on the floor of the Visalia Stake Center Cultural Hall. I asked if she wanted to go home, but Farah said, not until I sing! She managed to sing beautifully before collapsing inside the car and crying all the way home. I didn't know if Farah would be chosen to sing in the musical. We have a lot of talent in our three stakes, and Farah didn't feel well. We received a letter in the mail inviting Farah to be in the musical. It has not been an easy five months. Many, many, many hours of practice until midnight on top of homework, piano lessons, young womens' activities, and many, many doctor appointments and a surgery too! There were three performances, the first on April 22, at 7:30 PM, the second Saturday April 23, 2:00 PM, and Saturday, 7:30 PM. Farah's best friend Claire attended Friday night's performance, Grandma & Poppy celebrated their 45th Anniversary on Saturday the 23rd by attending Farah's matinee performance, and Scott was finally able to attend Saturday night's final performance. I was lucky enough to attend all three. What a beautiful rendition of the life of our Savior, His birth and resurrection.

Happy Easter 2011!

Anniversary, baptisms, Easter, and a musical- what a weekend! Last weekend, Lake Elsinore, for Drake's baptism, this weekend Los Osos for Will & Matthew's baptisms. Scott was on call this weekend, so he missed out on Easter dinner with the family in Los Osos. Farah and I attended the boys' baptisms and then we enjoyed visiting with Grandma, Poppy, Kelly, Michael, Shannon, Charlie, Brent, Trina, Misty, Jon, Aunt Pauline, Jared and all the DeNatly grandchildren.

Welcome Home!
Farah's friends missed her...

What a fun weekend! We attended Drake's baptism on Saturday. Aunt Amy spoke about baptism and Grandma Frances spoke about the Holy Ghost. Scott baptized and confirmed Drake. Following the baptism Heather & Steve hosted a luncheon for family and friends at their home. It was great to see Grandma & Grandpa Fortner, Grandma & Grandpa Doney, Great Grandma Terrill, Doug, Jenae, Telare, Beleza, Aunt Amy, Uncle Phil, and all the cousins minus Falyn and the Robert's clan.
When we arrived home we found our front yard and Explorer decorated- Farah's friends are a lot of fun! :)

"Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came."
Farah was given a few days off school curiosity of Valley Children's Hospital. She probably should have stayed home and rested, but we thought a visit to Utah would be better. A mental health day, or weekend if you will. Julie was so kind and gave Farah a buddy pass to and from Utah. Farah flew out of Long Beach with Grandma & Poppy. She spent one day with her best friend Douglas Murdock. They went to "Hogle Zoo" and to see the movie "Rango". When Falyn got off work she picked Farah up at Shannon's house in SLC. Farah spent the weekend with Falyn. Farah finally got to see Falyn's apartment (Scott & I have yet to see) and J.Dawgs, Provo's best hot dogs, and of course "Sub Zero" for ice-cream. No, she didn't see Jimmer, but he is Falyn's friend's hometeacher! ;) Farah and Falyn attended Tyrel & Linda's wedding reception in South Jordan. And, of course a Sunday dinner at Aunt Nancy's with all of the family. Must have been what the doctor ordered- Farah came home with a smile.

we ought to hear at least one little song every day, read a good poem, see a first-rate painting, and if possible speak a few sensible words.
