Good-Bye Gallbladder!

Friday, June 24, 2011 Farah had her gallbladder removed at Valley Children's Hospital in Madera. We arrived at the hospital at 10:30 AM, and left the hospital at 7:45 PM, it was a long day- we are very happy that Farah did not have to stay the night. Scott was able to take off work, and Grandma and Poppy were also there offering love and support. Farah is very very sore; and she hates when we make her laugh. She had four incisions, so her tummy is very tender. Her new pajamas look really cute on her- thanks G'ma & Poppy. :)

Happy Father's Day- He is the world to me...

Daddy & Mother

Daddy, Scott, Me, and Farah

Scott opening his Father's Day gifts

He isn't much in the eyes of the world

He'll never make history

No, he isn't much in the eyes of the world

But he is the world to me

My dad, now here is a man

To me he is everything strong

No, he can't do wrong, my dad

My dad, now he understands

When I bring him troubles to share

Oh, he's always there, my dad

When I was small I felt ten feet tall

When I walked by his side

And everyone would say "That's his daughter"

And my heart would burst with pride

My dad, oh I love him so

And I only hope that some day

My own daughter will say

"My dad now here is a man"

Birthday Dinner at Sea Salt in Salt Lake City

Happy Birthday Falyn-21!!! I flew to Utah to celebrate Falyn's Birthday with her. We stayed the night together at Shannon & Charlie's in Salt Lake City. On Saturday (Birthday) Our best friends, Stacey Murdock and her daughter Amanda Murdock- Jones drove from Odgen to Salt Lake City and took us to lunch at "Cheesecake Factory" we had the best visit and lots of laughs. We enjoyed the mall at Hillcrest Park after lunch. Falyn found a charming boutique with one-of- a- kind clothing. She bought three adorable tops/blouses from the boutique. Shopping, lunch, and best friends, it doesn't get any better! We returned to Salt Lake City- Shannon had Charlie take the boys to a game in Provo, so it was Girl's Night! She took us to a new Italian restaurant in the city called "Sea Salt" we ordered pasta, pizza, and appetizers! Falyn enjoyed a little hazelnut Birthday gelato for dessert. Sunday Shannon and Charlie hosted another Birthday dinner for all of the April Birthday's in the family including Leighanne, Falyn, and William. Monday night Aunt Nancy invited us to dinner at her home in Lehi. She made Falyn's favorite angel food cake with strawberries for dessert. Falyn and I spent Monday shopping, laughing and out to lunch. I visited Falyn's apartment at Apline Village in Provo twice, but I never met a roommate! I finally (after 8 months) saw where my daughter lives! Great looking apartment, and very clean and neat! Falyn also drove me by Anderson Roger's Law Firm, where she works, and I saw the building she attends church in too. Provo has changed a lot since I lived there 23 years ago. Happy Birthday Falyn- I love you!

December 3, 2010 Farah auditioned for "Savior Of The World" it's an easy date to remember; because it is also the night Farah had her first full blown pancreatitis attack. I knew that Farah was seriously ill when I saw her lying on the floor of the Visalia Stake Center Cultural Hall. I asked if she wanted to go home, but Farah said, not until I sing! She managed to sing beautifully before collapsing inside the car and crying all the way home. I didn't know if Farah would be chosen to sing in the musical. We have a lot of talent in our three stakes, and Farah didn't feel well. We received a letter in the mail inviting Farah to be in the musical. It has not been an easy five months. Many, many, many hours of practice until midnight on top of homework, piano lessons, young womens' activities, and many, many doctor appointments and a surgery too! There were three performances, the first on April 22, at 7:30 PM, the second Saturday April 23, 2:00 PM, and Saturday, 7:30 PM. Farah's best friend Claire attended Friday night's performance, Grandma & Poppy celebrated their 45th Anniversary on Saturday the 23rd by attending Farah's matinee performance, and Scott was finally able to attend Saturday night's final performance. I was lucky enough to attend all three. What a beautiful rendition of the life of our Savior, His birth and resurrection.

Anniversary, baptisms, Easter, and a musical- what a weekend! Last weekend, Lake Elsinore, for Drake's baptism, this weekend Los Osos for Will & Matthew's baptisms. Scott was on call this weekend, so he missed out on Easter dinner with the family in Los Osos. Farah and I attended the boys' baptisms and then we enjoyed visiting with Grandma, Poppy, Kelly, Michael, Shannon, Charlie, Brent, Trina, Misty, Jon, Aunt Pauline, Jared and all the DeNatly grandchildren.
