Dr. Suess – How the Grinch Stole Christmas
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
We had a a great Christmas. Grandma and Poppy arrived on Christmas Eve, we ate dinner, and then drove to Riverdale to watch the nativity reenacted. We especially got a kick out of the camel. It was a fabulous performance. We returned home to play charades and read Christmas stories. We indulged in English Toffee, apple pie, ice-cream, and apple cider. Christmas morning we were treated to breakfast by Grandma & Poppy. Fresh oranges, biscuits, eggs, country potatoes, and ham. We enjoyed the 71 degree weather as we opened our gifts. We surprised Grandma & Poppy with tickets to see Chris Botti in concert. Then they surprised us with a Flip Video Camcorder, and real 1/2 kt. diamond earrings for all of the girls! Falyn got the Juicy Couture purse she wanted; and Farah got the jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch that (she convinced me months ago) had her name on it! The gifts are wonderful. But being together as a family and celebrating the nativity... priceless.

Well, another Christmas has come and gone, we had the pleasure of spending it with our Family. Yes the gifts and wonderful meals are amazing, but will soon be forgotten. " If ye have done it unto the least of them ye have done it unto Me". I am thankful that I have a Saviour that Died for me that I may live for Him. This life is about People, we need to be kind to each other and to those we will meet, "Things" are not lasting, we will take none of them with us. We will take our thoughts and our memories. Let us vow to remember Christ and to love His children. This can be a better New Year for all.
